I started racing in 1995 in my dads back up car at Hawkeye Downs. In 2000 I bought the Olson Brothers Champion Chassis and started my dirt career. I raced both dirt and asphalt that year and when the season was over I was Rookie of the Year at Benton County Speedway. I quit the asphalt after that year to race dirt for the next few years. In 2003 we decided to build our first car a copy of a Champion Chassis. I won my first feature that year at the Benton County Speedway. I won 3 more features in 2004 at Benton County. In 2005 we decided to go back to Hawkeye Downs and race the asphalt. I got my first asphalt feature in the Miller 200 and also got a win at Benton County Speedway.
